CFoR Poppy Volunteers Working Hard
The Poppy Volunteers have been busy again over the past 10 months (and are still working hard now) making over 2000 plastic poppies and knitted poppies, all of which will start to be placed around the village from 16th October.
The team of volunteers have excelled themselves this year as other items have also been made, including:
- Decorations on railings at St Johns and the Methodist Chapel, signs and verges, with lamp post poppies donated this year by the Parish Council
- Internal decorations at the Methodist Chapel and St Johns
- Postbox Topper
- Poppies for sale at The White Lion, Happy Shopper and Truck stop
- The CFoR yearly Raffle which includes some fantastic prizes including some knitted figures and the famous hamper.
As always we would like to show our genuine appreciation for all the effort given by the volunteers from across the Parish who donate so much of their personal time. and to those who have personal donated the streetlamps poppies purchase from the Royal British Legion.
